The publication accompanies the exhibition Habitar las sombras, which is structured across four gallery spaces where the wall tones and lighting gradually darken. The commission explicitly requested that this spatial transition be reflected, proposing the edition as a printed extension of the exhibition experience, with special attention to readability and the act of reading.
This trilingual edition places three blocks of text as “walls” separating the four sections of the show. The works are photographed in situ, faithfully capturing the installation and sequence of the exhibition, allowing readers to establish visual and discursive connections between the pieces, as they are presented in the physical space.
The format, comfortable and flexible in the hand, is designed to enhance the reading experience. The paper stock darkens progressively with each language change, visually echoing the transition between light and shadow.
The result is a faithful revisitation of the exhibition, transferring its spatial and narrative logic to the editorial realm, while preserving clarity and ease of reading throughout.
