Sant Antoni 2023.

Posters series comissioned by the Canals town hall.

The popular festival of Sant Antoni and the Canals bonfire dates back to the 18th century. On December 8, the assembly of what is the largest bonfire in the world begins, it is carried out in the traditional way for a few weeks in which trunks and branches are stacked, leaving the imposing green structure in the square, until the 16th January, that the bonfire is set on fire. The huge fire and white smoke will hide everything for hours. The representation of the huge pile of branches, through a basic geometric figure such as a green cone, remains fully identifiable to its neighbors, making it a powerful icon. The sequence of posters reproduces different moments of the process. The green cone symbol was used, even without any added information, on different promotional items such as bags, badges, etc.
